Philip McAndrews, Managing Director, Global Real Estate
Philip McAndrews is a managing director and Head of Global Real Estate Transactions & Joint Ventures for the TIAA-CREF organization. Mr. McAndrews is responsible for overseeing the organization’s direct equity and debt real estate transactional activities as well as joint venture relationships. Most recently, he was Head of Global Real Estate Portfolio Management. He previously served as the portfolio manager of TIAA’s Real Estate Account and as the head of Acquisitions and Joint Ventures. Prior to those positions, Mr. McAndrews was a member of the mortgage origination team. He joined the TIAA-CREF organization in 1990 and has 27 years of real estate experience.
Mr. McAndrews holds a B.S. in finance from The State University of New York and a J.D. from the University of Toledo. He is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association, the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries and the Urban Land Institute. In addition, Mr. McAndrews has previously served on the board of directors of the National Multi Housing Council.
